¡Saludos!

I am a queer Cuban-Nicaraguan artist whose work lives at the crossroads of comics, animation, design, and education. My projects are rooted in the belief that art is not a privilege but a right—a tool for expression, empowerment, and community. Guided by values of freedom, collaboration, and resistance to imposed boundaries, I create work that challenges norms while building space for collective imagination.

As a storyteller…

I explore themes of identity, migration, and justice, drawing on heritage and lived experience to link personal memory with broader cultural struggles. Just as much, I embrace experimentation using surrealism and invention to disrupt expectations and push storytelling into new territory. My practice balances tradition with provocation, creating art that honors history while daring to imagine different futures.

As an educator…

I carry the same commitment into the classroom. Guided by my mantra “Art is Your Right” I design student centered programs that treat creativity as a practice of freedom. I’ve worked with artists of all ages and generations, which has taught me not only what makes learning effective, but also what inspires people to reclaim their own creative voice. My goal is to empower the next generation of artists to be not only independent creators, but also community builders who see their art as part of a larger cultural conversation.

At the heart of my work…

is the belief that creativity connects us. I approach art as both cultural memory and ongoing experiment—honoring the histories that shape me while pushing into the surreal, the provocative, and the yet-to-be-imagined. Whether through teaching, storytelling, or collaboration, my goal is to create spaces where art is accessible, where voices are amplified, and where others feel empowered to reclaim their creativity.
